The pupils took great delight in outside activities with Corporal Parsons. These Great War recruits left Corporal Parsons having learned about the full implications of the rush of young volunteer’s to enlist in the Army of 1914.
The pupils then visited Private Parsons in his front line trench of 1916 and were informed of the rigors of the subterranean existence in a front line trench.
Pupils then visited Sergeant Parsons in his Regimental Aid Post in 1916. Whereupon they were informed of the treatment that was undertaken by the Royal Army Medical Corps on the wounded.
Warden Parsons brought up the final set of presentations for the day. He looked at the aspects of the Blitz and civil defence measures at the outbreak of World war Two.
All in all a great and rewarding day for Parsons Period Presentations, Esprit tours and the pupils of year five and six .
