On 11 November 2015 Years four, five and six recruits from Scraptoft primary School experienced life as a 1915 Army Recruit to Kitchener’s Army and in doing so learned some valuable lessons. All presentations and school routine ceased for two minutes at 11 AM as Scraptoft Valley Primary School observed the national two minutes silence. Later in the day Sergeant Parsons RAMC made an appearnce to another nursery class and years one and two. All pupils were introduced to the causes of casualties that are treated at the Regimental aid Post. Some pupils were able to demonstrate their new found knowledge by rescuing casualties from “no mans land” and went on to discover that regardless of nationality all wounded are treated the same and are evacuated according to there injuries.
