The Summer season for PPP has been packed with the usual School workshops, both Virtual Reality as well as conventional. July saw us guiding on the first Battlefield tours of the Western Front since the Pandemic. Enjoying a brew between classes, in one of the many School workshops conducted this season Warden Parsons at one of the many WW2 Home front bookings this season. A great venue in Liverpool. First School trip back to the Menin Gate in over two years. Tyne Cott Cemetery on the Passchdaele Ridge, hottest day of the year and with a school party from Cheshire. One of the Somme Pipers at the Thiepval memorial to the missing, enhancing our own private ceremony for pupils to lay a wreath at the memorial. The breathtaking Vimmy memorial looking out over the Douai plain was visited by trips in July. All pupils enjoyed the visitors centre and the preserved trenches.
