Struck the right tone-aided perhaps by his own experiences in the RAMC. Really engaged the students. Can't praise him enough.

The session was brilliant. Keeping the children engaged for an hour online is not easy ( I should know after lockdown!) but Richie had them enthralled! So many who wouldn’t usually get excited were buzzing and it gave us such a nice treat to see all of the gas masks and background paraphernalia.

Richie, who delivered the workshop was excellent. The children had so many questions and he answered them in a clear and engaging manner. He managed to use props in a covid secure manner and the girls enjoyed seeing the artefacts.
I asked the girls, and they gave this experience 5 out of 5! One of the best things they have ever done. On the virtual reality
Even in these covid times, the children were given the opportunity to handle some of the props. This was done in a covid secure manner, each item was sanitised before and after use.

Richie was wonderful! He was engaging and able to adapt the session to pupils from 7 to 16! The talk was accompanied by excellent props which were utilised in the virtual reality experience too-which really made the subject come to life as did having the same presenter for the talk and VR. Richie himself was extremely professional and personable and I have no reservations in recommending him and the session wholeheartedly. We have received extremely positive feedback from teachers, TAs and pupils across the school! Thank you so much for visiting and bringing History to life!

From the moment Richie arrived our experience began. He adapted to our small space and was so engaging for staff and pupils. Through him and the handling boxes we learnt so much - even the staff who thought they were quite well versed in WW2! Our children thoroughly enjoyed the day and we will definitely be booking again
Richie was absolutely fantastic, his knowledge inspired the children and his professionalism was excellent. We had such a great day.
Our children got such a thrill out of handling the artefacts and it brought everything they had been learning about to life.

Really well planned and the students enjoyed the interaction with all of the different props. It was lovely for them to experience the interaction with the props and have this experience.
The experience was really lovely for the students. They were able to interact with the props in a meaningful and memorable way and to get some good hands on history experience.

Thank you for your invaluable guidance on our recent battlefields tour with 37 GCSE students. Your enthusiasm, knowledge and passion helped to bring the GCSE curriculum alive for my students. The equipment you used to demonstrate the difficulties of injuries received and treatment available will help them remember crucial details for the exam. Perhaps more importantly, your detailed information at the Cemeteries brought these men to life and provided moving experiences and memories that will stay with our students for life.
I can not recommend you highly enough to other schools and I hope you will be our guide on our next visit.
Kind regards

"Our World War One workshop days were fantastic and were enjoyed by both children and teachers alike! Sergeant Parsons is obviously extremely knowledgeable and it was clear he is passionate about passing this onto the children. It was a unique and valuable experience and all his activities kept the children engaged. An added bonus were the big boxes of World War One artefacts which the children loved! A big thank you from all of Year 5 at Farnborough Road Junior School - see you again!"
PPP provided an excellent experience for our students.
Thorough and flexible in the pre-performance planning, Mr.Parsons delivered an engaging and convincing performance as a WW1 private soldier. The range of genuine artifacts and theatrical props contributed to the success of the venture.
In one 5 period day, the whole of Y8, 300 students, participated in the experience. We hope to repeat the venture next year with the same level of success.

On 13 July 2015 we held a large World War exhibition and invited six local primary schools to attend. The whole day was a huge success with youngsters having an opportunity to take part in a number of activities to enhance their understanding of the Great War. Having 'Sergeant Parsons' as part of this day was a wonderful way of allowing these young students to see, up close, what a First World War soldier was like. With a mix of humour and factual information he was able to provide the finishing touches to the details they had gathered during their time at the exhibition. I would highly recommend having Sergeant Parsons at similar events or presentations and we are very much looking forward to working with him again.

I would just like to say how much the children and staff at Slim School enjoyed your visit to us at the beginning of this term. We were very impressed by both the quantity and the quality of the artefacts which were provided and were especially pleased that the children were able to actually pick them up and handle them. The children also thoroughly enjoyed your presentations - they were pitched at just the right level for our Y3/4 children and gave them a lot of useful information for their WW2 topic. The morning was a very motivating introduction to the historical period. Many thanks.

Many thanks for your invaluable assistance last weekend with our conceptual study tour. You and your team in period dress really enhanced our visit to the Salient. The presentations were invaluable in setting the scene for us and also the medical presentation helped people understand the casualty evacuation process and will enable them to understand current doctrine as we move towards contingency Ops. Once again, many thanks for your hard work and assistance.

PPP's extraordinary commitment ensured that our pupils experienced a fantastic World War 1 Living History Experience Day. With living history experts from Germany and the UK, classrooms decked out to represent different 'theatres' of war and myriad artefacts, pupils enjoyed a multi-sensory extravaganza.
PPP's team of experts and military background meant that all organisation and logistics were taken care of and the usual cares and concerns associated with arranging outside speakers or experiences were non-existent. PPP were also able to cater for a range of age groups and curriculum foci. A great opportunity to enrich History learning!

Dear Richard,
I just thought that I would email you to say thanks for delivering your fabulous presentation at rather short notice, as i know that 2013 has been rather busy for you so far. We were all rather taken aback at the amount of equipment that was on display for us to look at and the Great War medical presentation and overall knowledge of the subject was absolutely superb.
I will have no hesitations in recommending your services to my colleagues in the other departments but with regards to future bookings we have a trip planned in 2014 to visit Belgium and France and wondered if you do guided tours yourself or have any contacts that you would personally recommend? Once again Richard many thanks for fitting us in and I wish you all the best with the plans for 2014 as I can see it being a particularly busy period for you.
